Artist Bio
-
Maury Haseltine (1925-1998) was an artist, teacher, and consultant active in the Northwest for five decades, and a fixture of the Olympia art scene from the 1970's until her death. Born in Portland, OR, she attended Reed College there and was involved with Portland Art Museum. Later in Olympia, Haseltine and her husband James, a fellow artist and arts administrator, were founders of the Friends of Evergreen Galleries group, and also active at the WA State Capital Museum, and Seattle Art Museum.
