April 19, 1974

Willi Unsoeld; member of the faculty at The Evergreen State College, will
be retained as consultant for the National Park Service for a management seminar
to pe held at Pt. Reyes National Park in the San Francisco area of California
April 29-May 3.
Unsoeld, one of the American conquerers of Mt. Everest, will discuss
"Spiritual Values of Wilderness" during the four-day .symposIum which will be
attended by the director of the National Parks and his immediate staff.
In addition to many years of experience in mountain climbing.

Unsoeld has

a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of
Divinity graudate degree from Pacific School in Berkeley.
