senior at The Evergreen State College, has
been selected by the Northwest College and University Association
to work on a research projectc1,atBattelle NQrthwest in~R±ebiland.l

Fabricant, who last year direcged a National Science Foundation student grant for
a study of f Luo r'Lde contamination in the Columbia River Gorge, will spend the month of
January in Richland working with the Hanford Environmental Health Foundation.
NORCUS is a consortium of 40 colleges and universities working together to
administer funds provided by the Atomic Energy Commission for education and research.
Fabricant is the second Evergreen student to win a competiit:iveNORcttJStfntelrT<I:s1lip
this year.
