THIRD WORLD COMMUNITY
INFORMATION SHEET

New Third World Staff
Alas! The Coalition has a secretary. Ms. Irene Delgado started
work with the Coalition November 26. Sister has been at Evergreen
for 2 years and will be a very resourceful person to the Coalition.
Her office is Library 3236.
Third World Community Luncheon
Ujamma will be sponsoring a Third World Community luncheon on
December 10 from 12:00 to 1:30. The luncheon will be on the
4th floor of the library building. Please come out and share
this occasion with us.
Curriculum Planning Meeting
On Friday December 5, Ed Kormandy has called a curriculum
planning meeting. He also asked for a student representative
from the Third World Community. Graciela Gonzales with Kimberly
Martus as and alternate are the representatives. This committee
Kormandy is charged with will be responsible for the shape of the
curriculum for next year. Kormandy's assuming this responsibility
came with the resignation of Lynn Patterson, academic dean originally
responsible with the task.
Coalition Board Meeting.

IMPORTANT

There will be a Coalition Board meeting Wednesday on December lOth,
at 2:00 in Library 3205. Board members are strongly urged to
attend.
Board of Trustees Meeting
At the Board of Trustees ' meeting scheduled December 11th at 10:30,
the issue of the Third Horld , Homen, and Gay ex-officio members will
be discussed. The Coalition needs the support of all Third World
people so please plan, if possible, to ·attend.

Coalition Board and Third World community members met on Thursday, November 20, 1975 and agreed unanimously that the position
of the Coalition should be pushing for the implementation of
the DTF recommendations, academic planning and Board of Trustees
representation. Third World people should be there taking
notes, scrutinizing, etc.
This is the Third World Community Information Sheet. The intent is to
have our community informed about pertinent issues concerning us. If
you have something you want included, please forward the information
or come by the Coalition Office (13237) by 5:00p.m., every Thursday
in order that the information gets in the following Mondays publication.
