James C. Sainsbury, program coordinator for the Office of Program Planning and
Fiscal Management, has been appointed assistant to the president of The Evergreen
State College.

Charles J. McCann.
Sainsbury, 40, with OPP&FM since 1967, has been the agency's chief analyst for
education budgets.
In his new job,' Sainsbury will coordinate Evergreen's relations and plans with
various local and state governmental agencies, the Legislature, the Council on Higher
Education and other institutions of higher learning.
A graduate of the University of Washington, Sainsbury holds bachelor of science
degrees in civil and industrial engineering, and a master's degreeirt urban planning.
Prior to joining OPP&FM, Sainsbury was a planner for the Washington Department
of Commerce and Economic Development, a project planner for Harstad Associ~tes,

Incorporated, of Seattle, and a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast and Geodetic
Survey.
