"Follow the Yellow Brick Road" will be the topic for discussion Thursday,
April 11, at 8 pm in the Tumwater Public Library.
The public forum, seventh in a series of eight discussions about local
library services, will explore such questions as "How can the library help to
meet our ever-changing educational needs?" and "What needs will arise in the
community with the advent of more leisure time and new challenges, on and off
the job?"
Margaret Gribskov, professor of history and literature of drama at The
Evergreen State College, will be the featured speaker.

Also participating

will be Robert W. Benson, a public printer, and Jerry J. Vermillion, Director
of Continuing Education at O.V.T.r.

Four other local residents will also

participate in the forum.
Funded in part by the Washington Commission for the Humanities, the series
of forums is part of the project "Education: The Public Library and the People's
Needs", sponsored by The Evergreen State College, the Friends of the Library, and
Timberland Regional Library.
The Tumwater Library is located at Sf 09 Capitol Blvd., in the South Gate
Shopping Center.

Refreshments will be served at the forum, which is free and open

to the public.
