CURRICULUM ADVISORY FAIR-JANUARY 19-21
On January 19-21, a curriculum advisory fair is being scheduled on campus.
The purpose of this fair, planned by the Short-Range Curriculum DTF, is to
get information from students as to what they would like to see being offered
in the 1976-77 curriculum, ·and to give specific criticisms on proposals submitted for next year.
It is of grave importance that Third World students participate in this event
so that your educational needs will be met next year. Three proposals have
been subn1itted by the Coalition which need your support. They are:
Basic Coordinated Studies
Myth and Reality: Politics, History, Economics and the Development of
the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Worlds
Group Contracts
Comn1unity Organizing and Development
Early Childhood Development and Alternative Education:

The Coalition would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the Sisters
and Brothers back to campus from the holidays and wish you a very healthy and
happy new year. 1976 should prove to be a very interesting year for Third
World People.
Board of Trustees Ex-Officio Member
On December 11, 1975, the Board of Trustees met and decided on the issue of exofficio members to the Board. The Coalition in May, 1975 requested to the Board
and McCann to seat a member of the Third Horld Connnunity at the Board of Trustees
table. The Board and McCann, changing the language of the request voted in June
1975 to act on the request. The change in language of the request denied
autonomous membership to the Board. At the December 11th meeting t he Board
refused to acknowledge Third World membership as autonomous under the justification
of "no special interest group" shall be represented on the Board.
As it stands now, the Coalition Board will be deciding
to the Board \vill be pursued any further.
